60% of the adult population will experience some type of gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) within any 12 month period and 20 – 30% will have symptoms every week. It is estimated that 7 million people in the USA suffer from reflux at any given moment. The diaphragm muscle is the prime mover of tidal air. Physiologists are becoming increasingly aware of the fact that this muscle helps to stop gastric reflux.
This 4th in a series of ‘Interlink’ seminars will discuss a new AK approach to the evaluation of the diaphragm, the diaphragmatic crus, the vagal & phrenic nerves, the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), phreno-esophageal ligament (PEL) and a new approach to the gastric hiatus.
Low Hz vibration challenge of the viscera and pericardium with treatment options
A Visceral interlink discovered ! Nothing like the Ligament interlink and unique.
The gastroesophageal area – How dysfunction of the diaphragmatic crus & lower esophageal sphincter is caused by discordance be-tween the vagus and phrenic nerves leading to hiatus breakdown and gastric reflux in up to 60% of all people.
Dr. Joe Shafer brings new methods that quickly surpass AK Basics in speed and lasting correction. His CV includes working with AC Milan Football, Team Denmark and NISSAN drivers at LeMans during 35 years of practice. He was guest editor for Dr. Hans Garten MD’s – Muscle Testing Handbook 2013 – which is the new muscle testing standard for several ICAK chapters. His expansion of the Interlink relationships of the human nervous system are both original and immensely useful. Utilizing concepts from Dr. George Goodheart and Dr. Ted Carrick, Dr. Shafer has created an incredible system to help correct injuries and injury patterns. This work has never been taught in North America before.
Session 4: Diaphragm, Crus & Gerd Date: May 21-22, 2016
